Building Confidence and Self Esteem

Having low self-esteem would be disadvantage where you will be reluctant to express and assert yourself, miss out on opportunities and experiences and feel so powerless to make a change on things. If you feel suffer from having low self esteem, try out these few things below. You might been doing it already. You do not have to do all but try some. Works differently on different individuals.

1) Always think positive.

Think positive of yourself. Do not downgrade yourself. If you are having a tough situation then think positive outcomes. If you have a half glass of water. Look at the half of water not the half empty ;)

2) Surround yourself with positive people.

I believe that some people have low self esteem due to the perception of the society therefore it is essential for us to always be within positive people so we can escape for any negative thoughts and comments that will destroy our self esteem.

3) Manage your stress level.

Being stressful makes you less confident with yourself. and thinking you are not good and will never be good. So find ways to manage stress level.

4) Find a hobby.

Find a hobby. Drawing, singing or even reading. Make a useful of yourself. Then, you will appreciate yourself more.

5) Find a partner to talk to.

This partner can be family members or even friend. This person must be a good listener. If you are having low self esteem, you just need to talk to someone that listens to you and your ideas.

Having low self esteem is not a disease that cannot be cure. Good Luck!

A FREE Custom Makeover At Sephora

Today I went to Sephora IOI City Mall, Putrajaya with my two girlfriends to get a custom makeover premium service for my bestie! Yes, not for me. I think it's great to go out with your girlfriends and do some girls stuff like shopping and hangout in a makeup store. When I said hangout, it means spending lots of time there.Exactly 45 minutes for the free service. For this custom makeover premium service, it's actually free when you spend an amount of MYR250 in your previous purchase. You will get a voucher for this service. You have to book for an appointment for this makeover. At least 2 weeks. I just booked last week. Lucky got an empty slot for today. The thing is, it's actually kindda like a surprise for my bestie. She did not know about this makeover and when we arrived at Sephora, she was quite clueless and kept asking why her.

Two Reasons why I chose her :
  1. She's my best friend.
  2. I know she's learning to makeup.
So, she agreed to it and asked for natural look.

Most of the products used on her are actually in my wishlist. Here, I will list them down for you those that i still remember. I did not stay with her for the whole 45 minutes, sorry :p

For the eyes :

1. Urban Decay : Born To Run Palette

2. Tarte Cosmetics : Eyeliner, Eyelash Curler and their 4 in 1 Mascara

For the Face :

1. Primer : Smashbox (not so sure which one because she just told me it was smashbox)

2. Foundation : Too Faced, Born This Way Foundation

Okay, that's it! The products that I can remember and share here.

It's a premium service, basically it's a full face makeup. From priming her face and setting her makeup. It's just that I was not there the whole time to know which products were used. It was a good experience for my bestie, she got some tips and tricks from the beauty advisor that did her makeup.

45 minutes waiting for her, I decided to check on some products or try something new.
I TRIED DOING MY BROWS TODAY which is something I have never ever tried before. Well, i did not do my brows on my own. There was this Benefit Brow Bar in Sephora IOI City Mall which I never ever like seen it before or maybe I was never focus on Benefit section. It's for 15 minutes and it's for free. You just have to walk-in and tell any beauty advisor that you need a mini makeover or specifically choose what you what. Example : Learn how to do smokey eye makeup. It's for 15 minutes.

I spent almost an hour in Sephora today without spending my money there. PHEW.

Midnight now, bye!

Jambatan Gantung Kuala Lumpur

Taman Eko Rimba - Hutan Simpan Bukit Nanas Kuala Lumpur

I am an acrophobic. Well, acrophobia is one of the most common phobias. Fear of heights which can induce the feelings of panic, panic attacks, nausea or dizziness. I have decided to overcome my fear. I wanted to challenge myself and see how far can I go. What a mission.

I found out about Taman Eko Rimba from a story posted on Instagram. Interesting. Nature in the middle of the city. The canopy walk that is very popular excites me. Bonus point! There is no admission fee. Yes, you can spend your day there for freeeeeeeee.

My focus was definitely on the canopy walk only. I have no intention to go jungle trekking there. So, I went there when it was nearly closed. Around 4pm. It opens as early as 8pm and closes at 5pm. It was bit unplanned for me because I decided to go there when it was almost noon. Those unplanned trips are usually gonna work out. Had lunch at Nu Sentral before going there because it was really hot seriously.

Overall, the place is very clean. The place is also defined well by it's name. Forest. Definitely a forest.

Now, the canopy walk. 200 metres long. Not sure bout the height but it's not too high. An acrophobic like me would cry i think because i almost cried but there were so many tourists and the kids were so happily running across the canopy walk. Yes, running. Meaning, it's very safe. Unless, you're an acrophobic. I was really dizzy and my legs were shaking but glad i made it through. Motivated by those actively running kids.

Tips :

 1) Wear comfortable shoes and clothes

You need comfortable shoes because the stairs. It kills you. The bridge is nothing guys. Stairs, the biggest enemy for someone who rarely exercise like me.

Clothes get something light. Malaysia is hot. When you reach the top, it gets hotter.

2) Bring a bottle drinking water with you

Just bring one bottle. Don't burden yourself when it supposed to help you. To ensure you will not dehydrated.

3) If you an acrophobic, go with someone who is not.

A great partner for the mission!
At least, you will be forced to finish what you started. Don't you ever dream of going down the stairs back after climbing it. You will regret it trust me.

4) Take lots of photos.

The view is amazing. Worth the climb. I'm regretting it. Wanted to make a video but i was too scared and shaking to record anything.

It was a great place. Would love to go there next time in the morning!

This place is also very near to the KL Tower and KLCC. Plan your day well. You can enjoy so many exciting activities there.

Go there and share with me your experience.
