Have you ever feel unappreciated?
Some people won't appreciate you no matter how much you do for them. A lack of appreciation can be a sad end to many wonderful relationships. It takes two to tango. It would be tiring if you're the only one trying to make it work.
We can't be afraid to dismiss unappreciative people. People surrounding you give advice to make you see how you are unappreciated but you would just ignore it. Why?
What's the cure?
- Let the other side know. Notice is important and to be fair. In other words, give options. The other side can make a choice and liable for what had been chosen later on.
- Stop pleading. Aren't you tired? Imagine, you did your best to please the other side and at the end of the day all your efforts still go unappreciated.
- Give your absence. If they don't appreciate your presence then try giving them your absence.
If you are still unappreciated, release yourself. Go where you're appreciated. Stop pleading. It projects weakness or he'll temporarily be go along with you just to make you stop with the notice and he'll just return to his old ways.
Funny is that women don't have as many issues showing appreciation as men do. You can't appreciate if you're not grateful. A 2012 Survey of 2000 Americans conducted by John Templeton Foundation found that women are more likely to express gratitude on a regular basis than men.
